COVID-19 Resources
These are unprecedented times that we live in. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed how we conduct business and live our lives. Some of that change is short-term, and some may prove to be longlasting. In this guide, we will share with you some things we are doing right now to help keep our clients and community safe during these challenging times.
In most communities, real estate has been deemed as an ‘Essential Service’. That still doesn’t mean business as usual. It’s important that we proceed with caution and always seek ways to place health and safety first. With that said, real estate CAN be performed effectively with safety in mind. We find that a lot of people want to continue their real estate search but are on the fence because they don’t know that they can, or don't know how to safely move forward. We're here to guide you to your new home.
First, a word of caution. If you are in the group of people who are most vulnerable to the COVID-19 virus, or have any symptoms of the virus at all, please place your health first. There will always be another home for sale, as there will always be buyers looking for a home just like yours. No home is worth your life or the life of others.
If you have any questions about the steps we are taking to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our day-to-day real estate business and to keep our clients and community safe, feel free to contact us. We look forward to working with you.
Home Sellers
The current understanding of the COVID-19 virus is that it does not remain airborne for long after coughing or sneezing. It resides the longest on surfaces such as counters and doorknobs. You should be able to list and sell a house and feel safe as long as you follow these guidelines:
- Instead of holding open houses, we will add a robust video walk-through to enhance virtual marketing.
- We will limit showings to just the agent plus two clients at a time. Now is not the time for the whole family to attend. We will ask the buyer’s agent to leave the children in the car with one adult while the other views the home and then the next adult can view the home.
- Before and after a showing, please wipe down all doorknobs and surfaces with a disinfectant wipe.
- We ask that all agents and buyers wear a mask during the showing.
- We ask that all agents wear new disposable gloves for each showing and that only the agent open doors and touch any surfaces that are required to be touched. You can help the process by opening all interior doors and turning on all lights prior to all showings.
- If you have any symptoms that fit those of the virus we will require that you postpone selling your home for at least two weeks, or until a negative result from a COVID-19 test is achieved.
- As this situation changes our processes will evolve with it. We will always follow our local, state, and federal guidelines.
- We are in this together and we look forward to working with you!

The current understanding of the COVID-19 virus is that it does not remain airborne for long after coughing or sneezing. It resides the longest on surfaces such as counters and doorknobs. You should be able to list and sell a house and feel safe as long as you follow these guidelines:
- If you need to see a lot of homes, we will do a video tour of each home first. You can then choose the two or three that you really want to see. This will greatly reduce possible exposure for you and for the sellers.
- We will not be driving clients from showing to showing. To help maintain social-distancing policies we ask that you drive to each showing in your own vehicle.
- We will limit the showing to two clients at a time. Now is not the time for the whole family to attend. If necessary, leave the children in the car with one adult while the other views the home and then the next adult can view the home.
- Before and after a showing, use a liberal amount of hand sanitizer and be sure rub it in thoroughly covering all of the exposed skin on your hands.
- We will wear a mask and ask that all clients do the same.
- We will wear disposable gloves and change/discard them after each showing. If possible, we ask that you do the same. If gloves are not available, we ask that you do not touch anything. We will open all doors and touch all surfaces that may be required to be touched.
- If you have any symptoms that fit those of the virus we will require that you postpone your home search for at least two weeks, or until a negative result from a COVID-19 test is achieved.
